In 2011, the original Renown ’57 was introduced to the world. Its unique look, inspired by classic American cars was an immediate hit, furthering Gretsch’s American heritage. A decade later the ’57 returns with a reimagined retro color scheme in Silver Oyster Pearl. Offered throughout 2021, the Renown ’57 redux mirrors today’s RN2 by utilizing the same classic 7-ply all-maple shell, 30 degree bearing edges, 302 hoops, Silver Sealer™ interiors, and low profile GTS tom mounts. In an effort to satisfy Gretsch purists, bass drums come in a traditional 14 depth, without BD mounts. The unique outfit is offered in two configurations, both in Silver Oyster Pearl Nitron. All Gretsch Drums are shell packs (drum hardware and cymbals are not included).
